People of Manitoba are known to be some of the friendliest people in all of Canada and possibly even the world. Some of the most popular cities include Winnipeg, Selkirk, Portage la Prairie, Dauphin, Blumenort and Thompson. English is the predominant language while French is spoken in Winnipeg and the in the southern regions of the province. A few of the things that are a “must” while in Manitoba are seeing the International Peace Garden which borders North Dakota, which is a large garden/park specifically designed and dedicated to peace; attend one of the many festivals, which are ongoing and in many of the communities; go on a polar bear tour in Churchill; explorer one of the many museums; and the Royal Canadian Min in Winnipeg. Manitoba is known for producing amazing back bacon (traditional Canadian bacon) and some of the best pork products in the entire world.
