Newfoundland is an island while Labrador is a mainland coastal region both, which is adjacent to Quebec and collectively one of the Atlantic Provinces of Canada. Labrador has extremely rich natural resources, such as copper, nickel and Iron ore, underdeveloped electric sites, and offshore natural gas and oil. A few of the major cities in Newfoundland and Labrador are Wabush, Twillingate, Stephenville, St. John’s, Labrador City, Mount Pearl, Grand Falls-Windsor, Dildo, Gander,
Argentina, and Conception Bay South. Argentina is the home of the finest ice-free port north of Boston. Newfoundland is known for it’s beauty, amazing friendliness and humor of it’s local’s, the traditional culture, the unique dialect, the gorgeous rocky coasts of the island, and magnificent views of the East Coast Trail. Having much to see and do in the Tundra of Labrador, it's often called “the Big Land” or the “mini Rockies”. A few of the must-do’s while visiting Newfoundland and Labrador are hiking in ros Morne National Park, visiting Western Brook Pond- a land locked fjord, taking a pictures with the sign noting the city of “dildo”, and visit the National Historic Site of Canada- L’anse aux Meadows, visit the Basque Whaling Site in Red Bay, bike the Viking Trail, party in Grand Falls mid July, and lastly go ‘Around the Bay” which means traveling around the numerous out port communities. Newfoundland is known for it’s awesome seafood, but if you’re lucky enough to find it, try the moose stew, rabbit pie, seal flipper or caribou sausage at local restaurants or from an extra friendly resident. Many beers that are only available in Newfoundland and Labrador are offered here, so if you enjoy trying different types of beer, be sure to take advantage.
