Denver, Colorado is about altitude and attitude. It’s not called the “Mile-High City” for nothing – it sits at 5,280 feet above sea level, just 15 minutes away from the Rocky Mountains. That makes Denver a great skiing location in the cold, winter months, when visitors can experience the powdery snow. It’s not always cold in Denver, however, so the other seasons offer plenty of attractions as well. Money grubbers may appreciate a visit to the Denver Mint, where more American money is produced than anywhere else. On the activities front, throughout the warmer months there are a variety of outdoor festivals to participate in, and there are a number of professional sports teams that offer game opportunities for all.
