Celebrities and celebrity watchers flock to Cannes, France each spring for the Cannes Film Festival. May is when you’ll need your autograph book and your wallet – because that’s when the crowds and the prices increase. However, the rest of the year sees tourists migrate here for its beaches. Located on the Cote d’Azur, also known as the French Riviera, the beaches are sandy and the water cools off the sun worshipers. The town features narrow streets with cafés where you can grab a drink, and shops where you can grab a souvenir. There are also some ruins of an old castle atop the hill that offers some beautiful views of Cannes.
