DESCRIPTION
To visit one of the world’s most-famous Alpine ski resorts, head to Austria’s Kitzbuhel. It earned its place among ski enthusiasts for hosting the Hahnenkahm, one of the most dangerous downhill ski races in the world. Due to Kitzbuhel’s low elevation in the Alps, the shoulder ski seasons may not have all of the slopes open – but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t plenty of powder-snow runs to enjoy. The après-ski life is a lively one, with plenty of nightclubs and bars for drinking and dancing into the wee hours. There are also a few performances and shows that go on throughout the high season, as well as a casino, so there’s no lack of activity.
