Miami
Beach is known for its art-deco buildings and it glamorous attitude. Ocean
Drive is the place to see and be seen – on one side there are the glamorous,
1950-esque, art-deco hotels and houses, including the sight of the Gianni
Versace murder, Casa Casuarina, once his house but now a five-star hotel. On
the other side are the white sand beaches and shimmering blue water that are
the main attraction of the area – they put the beach in Miami Beach. The
wealthy come to sunbathe (sometimes topless) during the day and party the
night away after the sun goes down in the South Beach nightclubs. The club
scene is famous, as is the high-end shopping that’s available at every turn. |
