Tallahassee is the capital of the State of Florida and the county seat of Leon County. Tallahassee became the capital of Florida in 1824. As of 2006, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 159,012, while the Tallahassee metropolitan area is estimated at 336,501 (2006).
Tallahassee is the home of Florida State University, a major research university with strengths in both arts and sciences. The city also includes the higher-education institutions of Florida A & M University, a well known historically-black university, Tallahassee Community College, Barry University, Embry Riddle, and Flagler branches. Tallahassee is also a regional center for trade and agriculture, and it is served by Tallahassee Regional Airport.

Review: I was fortunate enough to go to school in Tallahassee. Its a the capital city of Florida, but still its seems like just a college town. If you are young there is great night life. I had a good time in college, but I would never live there outside of schooling.
