Travolti Community Guidelines
See the world through other eyes
Travolti accounts are intended for personal use, for our members to interact in a safe and hospitable virtual environment, and share content that they themselves have created.
The following are Community Guidelines that are here to help you understand what it means to be a member of Travolti. We strive to maintain a social paradigm that will keep our environment enjoyable to all members. To do this, we monitor new data and certain interaction while keeping our policies loose and leaving it to our users to create a respectable community.
Travolti Do List
- Enjoy Travolti and contribute your knowledge and experiences. Travolti is a social community that is driven by user interaction. It is a free service with unlimited play time. Plan your next trip, keep you travel logs up to date, or just learn about a new place.
- Upload your content! Community trumps content in most scenarios. However, your content provides the foundation for all users to interact…thus growing the community. Invest the time to share your intellectual content i.e. photos, blogs, videos…and review and comment on others.
- Use appropriate tags – When uploading content, make sure you tag it with fitting keywords. This will ensure better search results for all users.
- Spread the good word about the growing Travolti community.
- Email your friends from the available applications within our site.
- Link back to us on your external blogs and personal websites
- Share your travel logs with friends and contacts
- Stand up in your office or classroom and scream “Travolllllllllllti”!
Travolti Don’t List
We have no intentions of governing the site as a brutal police force where every action could result in suspending or terminating accounts. However, we can’t allow total anarchy to take place. In most cases we will send a warning and ask that you refrain from the action in the future. However, subsequent violations, and serious first time offenses will result in account termination without warning.
- Don’t upload content that is not yours. We respect the intellectual property of our members and we ask that you do the same to others. Do not upload photos, videos, or steal copyrighted text from other sources and upload it to Travolti.com.
- Filter your content. This is a PG-13 website, so keep the “R” rated content in your personal library. We do have members as young as 13 and we want to ensure a clean environment for all demographics. Please filter your content and double check what you are uploading to the site. As a precaution, if it’s “on the fence” it should be off the site.
- No Nudity, Drugs, or Paraphernalia.
- Don’t be creepy. You know the guy. Don’t be that guy. Nobody likes that guy. We will never develop a “poke” or similar social function strictly to avoid the influx of those guys.
- Don’t use your account to market a brand. Don’t be that guy either. If you want to advertise we will cut you a deal. Accounts that exploit our service to host web graphics, banners, or other products/services for commercial use will be immediately terminated. This is a 0 tolerance policy. How would you like it if we spray painted Travolti.com on your office window?
- Don’t take our content.
- Don’t scrape (or take individually) content from our website including but not limited to: email addresses, photos, videos, blogs, descriptions, locations, destinations, and/or facts. Contact us if you have an inquiry about the commercial use of our content.
Take Action
Keep in mind that the premise of the community at travolti.com, is the users. In order to create a sound environment, you need to take action when deemed appropriate. Yes, upload content and interact with our social applications, but also be on the look out. If you see content that is offensive and/or marked inappropriately, then let us know by clicking “Flag this Content”. The same goes for inappropriate user behavior, in which case you should click on Contact Us.
Your feedback is also extremely important to us. As a social community, the components of your site that are most popular will be built upon. We can monitor this over time but we would rather hear it from you! Let us know what you like, what you don’t like and overall what would make the site more enjoyable for you personally.
Travolti.com’s staff thanks you for reviewing our guidelines and looks forward to interacting with you in the near future.
